NERPA505 Update

Happy Holidays!  My prayer for all of you is for a wonderful, memorable and safe time with your loved ones!

Congratulations to Dillon Farrell on his promotion to Cadet Senior Airman!

There will be a squadron meeting this coming Tuesday night as well as on Dec 30.  We understand that several of you have said that you cannot come, but the doors will be open anyway for those who can.  Please let me know in advance if any of you need transportation to and from the meeting.

(1) Tuesday night is Aerospace Education emphasis night.  We will select a module of Aerospace Dimensions to go over with those who are able to attend, and perhaps watch a few short video clips. The uniform of the day is BDUs.
(2) Testing will be available for those who need it.
(3) Let's all be working on our recruiting drive for cadets and senior members!  If you have friends who have expressed interest in CAP, remind them that we are training for Ground Team members, and want to begin an Honor Guard and Drill Team as soon as we have enough interested cadets.  The cadet who recruits the most new members by the end of January will receive a special prize!
(4) As soon as we have a minimum of 6 members who can be trained for Red Cross CPR/First Aid, we will schedule a class.
(5) Don't forget to read and sign off on the monthly Safety Briefing -- it is essential for all activities other than classroom.

Stay safe this winter!  Dress appropriately for the weather, stay hydrated, and drive safely!

Randall F. Matheny, 2 Lt.
Deputy Commander for Cadets
