NERPA505 Update

Greetings, 505, on a beautiful second day of spring! Congratulations are in order to SM Alan Fuller for completing his Level I training in less than a month! Great job!

(1) Tuesday is Aerospace Education emphasis. The uniform of the day is BDUs, sleeves rolled up. Senior members may choose to wear a a corporate uniform. We will plan to cover the Redstone Phase of the model rocketry program so cadets can test as quickly as a testing officer becomes available. Cadets should also be studying for their next leadership and aerospace achievements.
(2) I am working on scheduling a fundraiser for Friday, 2 Apr., from about 16:00 to 20:00 hrs. Cadets who can be available to help, please inform Chaplain Matheny or Capt. Hagberg. Funds raised will be used to help cadets defray expenses for the Cadet Basic Encampment at the end of June.
(3) 505's Color Guard has been invited to post the Colors at the annual Warren Co. Republican Dinner on 16 Apr. After posting the colors, cadets and senior members who plan to attend the Cadet Conference and the Wing Commander's call on 17 Apr. plan to travel to FTIG, Annville, PA.
(4) Cadets or senior members who are interested in learning about Amateur Radio (Ham), or how to become an amateur radio operator, please inform Chaplain Matheny. An amateur radio license is not necessary for participation in the CAP communications program since it falls under a different federal agency, but the knowledge gained is helpful for those pursuing the CAP Communications specialty track. Amateur Radio also opens up other exciting opportunities for service.

Don't forget to invite a friend to the squadron meeting! Be proud of who you are and what you do in CAP!

Semper Vigilans!
See you Tuesday!
