NERPA505 Update for the Week of 10 Apr 11

Hello 505!  I hope everyone got outside a little bit to enjoy the beautiful weather yesterday!

(1) Chaplain Matheny will be out of town this Tuesday night, so Character Development will be moved to next Tuesday, 19 Apr.
(2) Tuesday night's meeting will include the following activities:
  • An Emergency Services module on ropes and knot tying.  Rope is an indispensable rescue and survival tool, but it is of limited use without some knowledge of how to tie a few specialized knots.  The uniform of the day is BDUs.
  • Physical training - be sure to bring appropriate PT clothing and shoes.  Weather permitting, there will be an opportunity to go to the Beaty track to practice for the mile run, or try for a qualifying time.
(3) Dates to remember:
  • 30 Apr 11, PA Wing Cadet Conference & PA Wing Commanders Call, Fort Indiantown Gap.  Cadets and senior members must register (cost $25.00 also covers light breakfast and Cadet Dining In - senior members are also encouraged to attend to support the cadets) at http://pawgcadetprograms.webs.com.
  • 30 Apr-8 May, PA Wing Aircrew Mission School.
  • 18-25 Jun 11, Basic Cadet Encampment & Cadet Leadership School, Fort Indiantown Gap.
