NERPA505 Update

I hope everyone weathered the frigid temperatures last week well!  It looks like we're in for a bit of a break.  The mid 20s will seem like a heat wave compared to -10 F!  This will be a short update.

(1) Congratulations to C/AB Blake James, and welcome to 505!  James received his CAPID just a few days ago.  Its up to all of us to make him feel welcome and help him along on his training and achievements.
(2) Tuesday is Emergency Services emphasis night.  Uniform of the day is BDUs.  We are working our way through the Ground Team Leader & Member Reference Text material so it is important that we attend as many meeting as possible so we can get everyone's ES Squadron Training Records (SQTRs) signed off before the next training, or actual, mission.
(3)  Remember to read and sign off on the safety briefing posted on the bulletin board at the meeting facility.
(4) It is likely that we will change meeting nights from Tuesday to Monday, same timeframe, for the 5 weeks following this Tuesday.  I'll give you a final update after the meeting Tuesday night.
(5) If you need testing, come prepared and it will be made available.
(6) Stay in recruiting mode!  Be sure you have literature to give to friends and acquaintances.  We need at least 10 to 15 solid cadets and 2 or 3 more seniors in the first quarter of this year.

Semper Vigilans!  See you Tuesday!

Randall F. Matheny, 2 Lt.
Deputy Commander for Cadets
