NERPA505 Update for the Week of 27 Mar 11

Hello, 505!  Sorry to get this update out a little later than usual, but I have been pretty busy.

(1) This week's meeting is a fifth "casual" Tuesday.  Capt. Hagberg has authorized civilian clothes.  Of course, you are free to wear a uniform if you wish.
(2) We'll plan to have pizza & refreshments, watch a movie, "Son of the Morning Star", about George A. Custer, and do a leadership assessment on some of the main characters.
(3) Dates to remember:
  • Group 6 SAREX hosted by Squadron 125, near Mercer, PA.  Cadets and seniors who are interested in attending should coordinate with Capt. Hagberg or Maj. Brown.
  • 30 Apr 11, PA Wing Cadet Conference & PA Wing Commanders Call, Fort Indiantown Gap.  Cadets and senior members must register (cost $25.00 also covers light breakfast and Cadet Dining In - senior members are also encouraged to attend to support the cadets) at http://pawgcadetprograms.webs.com.
  • 30 Apr-8 May, PA Wing Aircrew Mission School.
  • 18-25 Jun 11, Basic Cadet Encampment & Cadet Leadership School, Fort Indiantown Gap.
CAP in the news:  Civil Air Patrol's highest honor awarded to teen ; Civil Air Patrol cadet receives prestigious honor ; Aerial Pictures Show the Extent of Spring Flooding ; Local unit helps search for missing plane (Chesterfield, MO)

Semper Vigilans!    See you Tuesday, and don't forget to invite a friend!  Be proud of who you are and what you do in CAP!
