Update for Russell Jubilee

Lineup for the Russell Jubilee parade will begin at 1000 hrs. at the Russell Elementary School parking lot.  Color Guard members, C/CMSgt. Matheny, C/A1C Hagberg, C/A1C Peterson, and C/A1C Matheny, should do their best to be there at 1000 hrs. sharp to complete their setup and practice as needed.  The Color Guard uniform is USAF Class B Blues.  Please be sure your uniform is complete, including name plate, grade insignia, USAF belt, and flight cap with device.  Ribbons should be worn if you have them.  Shoes should be polished to a high shine.  I will have a shoeshine kit with me for touch ups.  Remember, our Color Guard (and all of us when in uniform) represents our squadron, the CAP and the USAF.  A lot of people will be looking at us, so we need to be look and act sharp!

Color Guard gear will be in the CAP van at the parade staging area.  Look for a large, white Ford van with CAP seal on the driver and passenger doors.  There will also be plenty of water in the van.

Cadets who are not in the Color Guard may ride in the CAP van, or walk along the parade route to help distribute literature and treats.  Wear USAF Class B Blues if you have them, or BDUs if you do not have blues.  Families members who bring cadets are invited to walk along the parade route to help distribute literature and treats as well, if they wish.  Please dress in good taste so as not to distract from the dignity of the Color Guard.

A display and information table will be set up in the truck bay at the Russell Fire Hall after the parade.

Call Capt. Hagberg or me if you have questions.  If you need a ride to and from the parade, let us know and we will try to arrange it.

Semper Vigilans!  See you there!
