Professional Development Courses for Senior Members

Gentlemen,

I just received a note from the Group 6 Prof. Development Officer with some tentative dates for training opportunities.  She asked me to pass them on to all of you.  I'll let you know when the dates are confirmed for each course.  Information can be found on each course by clicking here (CAP University).  Costs to attend the courses are nominal, and some expenses may be reimbursed from squadron funds, if sufficient funds are available.  Expenses that are not reimbursed may possibly be tax deductible.  Be sure to consult IRS regulations.

Corporate Learning Course  -  April 24/25, at the Pittsburg Air Reserve Station. Dates are pretty certain for this one, but no one in our squadron needs it yet.  CLC is for officers pursuing the CAP Professional Development Program who have completed Level 2.

Unit Commander's Course  -  April 10/11 (tentative), at Lawrence County Composite Squadron, Cunningham Armory-Pennsylvania Army National Guard  1/107 Field Artillery, 820 Frank Avenue
New Castle, PA 16101.  Any CAP officer can attend the UCC, but it is primarily designed for command positions, or those interested in command positions.

Squadron Leadership School - 15/16 May (tentative), Greenville, probably at the armory. Needed to complete Level 2.  It is highly recommended that all senior members attend an SLS.  The information is invaluable and the schools have gotten progressively more informative.
